Owner, Michael Rudan, was inspired to start COPA during his travels in Brazil as a professional tennis player. After his tennis career finished, he decided to open the first COPA in Niagara Falls and went back to Brazil to perfect the art of Churrasqueira and butchery.
Over a decade later, this sizzling steakhouse has expanded to four locations — one in Niagara Falls, two in Toronto, and the newest, in Vaughan. Honouring the Brazilian tradition, COPA offers a fixed price for patrons looking to taste various selections from the menu.
Your experience at COPA begins with a trip to the “Galleria” where you will be tempted by crisp salads, colourful starters, fresh baked breads and dips from the open concept bakery, cheeses cut from the wheel and expertly hand sliced charcuterie selections. Here, you’ll also find the hot table offering mac ‘n cheese, lasagna, wild rice, fried yucca and sweet potato casserole.

Back at your table, a procession of various CAB (Certified Angus) grilled meat awaits. Helpful gauchos (carvers) serve up a feast of 18 different skewers of tasty Brazilian grilled meat, fresh right off the bbq. Available at unlimited quantities, there are selections like chimichurri flank steak, cheese-stuffed prime rib, parmesan fillet mignon, and their signature steak, the Picanha Brazil, a top sirloin grilled over ultra-hot charcoal.

In addition to mouth-watering delights, COPA serves up a vibrant ambiance with authentic Brazilian entertainment. From samba dancers and silkists to heart thumping music, COPA is a new take on a lounge crossed with dinner theatre.
